Blankenship
Back in Best Plumber 604 Action at Bulls Gap
(June
7, 2026) William Blankenship Racing returned to action
on Saturday night, June 6 at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in
Bulls Gap, Tennessee. The Best Plumber 604 Racing Series roared
into "The Gap" and a $5,000 payday was up for grabs for
the 604 Late Model competitors. William Blankenship stopped the
clock sixth fastest in Group A during the qualifying session prior
to placing fourth in his heat race.
After rolling off from the inside of the eighth row
in the 40-lap headliner, William sported a fast racecar, but had
another car roll down the banking under caution and hit his #32
machine. The incident broke the lift chain on the left rear, which
ultimately resulted in a blow out and an eighteenth place effort.

picked up a heat race triumph with the series before rolling off
from the outside of the front row in the 30-lap main event. The
McMinnville, Tennessee ace fought a loose racecar - especially late
in the distance - and wound up fourth in the final finishing order
behind only victor Brandon Williams, Addison Cardwell, and Skylar
Marlar. Full results from Wartburg Speedway can be accessed online

Broken Shock Mount Hampers
Blankenship in I-75 Insanity
(May
10, 2026) After a couple of rain-outs earlier in the year,
the Best Plumber 604 Racing Series finally kicked off their 2026
campaign on Saturday night, May 9 at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater,
Tennessee. The running of 'I-75 Insanity' paid out a $3,000 top
prize to the region's best 604 Crate racers. With over 40 competitors
in the pit area, William Blankenship knocked down the second quickest
lap in Group A during qualifying prior to winning his loaded heat
race. Unfortunately, a broken shock mount early in the 30-lap headliner
hampered his efforts, but William was able to soldier on to a twelfth
place performance. Full results can be accessed online by clicking
